Hello everyone!
Welcome to femhealth.in!
During my OB/GYN career of 28 years, I have conducted antenatal [related to pregnancy], natal [related to deliveries], and postnatal [after delivery] examinations & treatments. I have performed numerous tubectomies, minor surgeries related to obstetrics. My specialty areas include leadership, healthcare facilities administration and Indian laws related to PCPNDT (Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques) act, serving as the chief medical officer of the city of Jalgaon (India).
The key highlights of my career are as below –
• One of the important achievements in my career was when I was appointed for the enforcement of PCPNDT (Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques) act in Jalgaon, which aims to stop female foeticides and arrest the declining sex ratio in India. During this period [2011 to2013], Jalgaon achieved the female to male sex ratio at birth from 829 to 884.
• During my posting as Chief Medical Officer, I organized many health camps in slum area, implemented various government health schemes, such as Janani Suraksha Yojana, free lab investigation for poor pregnant women & health awareness antenatal camps.
• I had worked actively in National Pulse Polio Vaccination Program for 18 years from 1995 to 2013.
• I had started Adolescent Clinic in Jalgaon Corporation.
• I had started the first ever Tele Medicine center in Jalgaon Corporation hospital.
• I also worked as nodal officer in Epidemics of communicable diseases such as swine flu in 2009.
Through my blog I wish to help women make better decisions related to their health, facilitating superior obstetrics and gynecology healthcare. All questions and criticism is welcome.
